Birth Certificate and National Card

Birth Certificate

An Iranian birth certificate and national card are both official documents issued by the Iranian government. A birth certificate is a document that provides information about a person’s birth, including their full name, date and place of birth, parent’s names, and other details. In Iran, birth certificates are issued by the Vital Records Office (Sāzmān-e Sabt-e Aḥwāl-e Koll-e Keshvar) and are required for a variety of purposes, such as obtaining a national ID card, enrolling in school, and applying for a passport.

National ID Card

A national ID card, also known as shenasnameh in Iran, is a government-issued identification card that contains the individual’s name, photograph, signature, national identification number, birth date, and other identifying information. The national card is a mandatory document for all Iranian citizens over the age of 15 and is required for various activities such as voting, obtaining a driver’s license, accessing government services, and opening a bank account.
